BU Rise Acceptance Rate 2022

The BU rise acceptance rate is the percentage of applicants who are admitted to Boston University. It’s a good way to compare the popularity of schools, but it’s not perfect: a school can have an average BU rise acceptance rate while having more selective overall admissions standards, or vice versa.

The BU rise acceptance rate for 2022 was about 25%, as compared with 15% in 2021 and 30% in 2020. The 2020 numbers were down from 20% in 2019 and 25% in 2018.

How to Apply to BU Rise

Round 1 applications are open.

If you’re ready to apply, here’s what you should know:

  • Round 1 applications are open now through May 31st. Round 2 applications will be open in September 2019 through October 3rd.
  • Applicants must complete a [short form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1zGwkM5hsYvbw7xeOVyAaoumDhFjBkdzpXxRD_X9JE8) with their name and contact information, along with their choice of program(s) on the Rise website (the “Application”). The Application should take less than 10 minutes to complete—and don’t worry about including any long essays or additional materials at this point in time!
  • You can check your status by visiting the status page on risechicago.org after May 31st; if we have not received all necessary information yet (including transcripts), it will show up as incomplete until all missing materials arrive in our office and we can process them—but no worries! We’ll notify applicants when they’re ready for review by faculty committees later this summer/early fall so stay tuned for more info coming soon! If all goes well during this stage then we may invite some applicants back for interviews before making final decisions during Fall 2019 semester which begins August 26th next year; however there is no guarantee that everyone who applies will get one.”

Round 1 deadlines.

Round 1 deadlines. The deadline for round 1 applications is February 15, 2020.

What happens once you submit your application?

After you submit your application, you can expect a response within 2-3 weeks. If you’re accepted to BU Rise, we’ll send a welcome packet containing your acceptance letter and other important information.

If you’re waitlisted, we’ll email you with instructions on how to move forward with the process. Waitlisting is not the same thing as being rejected; it simply means that there was not enough space for everyone who applied at this time. If space becomes available through cancellations or withdrawals (as determined by our Admission Committee), we will look at all applications again before sending out any additional offers of admission or waitlists.

If your application is denied, please know that it wasn’t due to lack of talent or ability; rather, there simply weren’t enough spots for everyone who applied this year! We hope that makes sense!

You’ve been accepted!

Congrats! You made it through the application process, and you’re ready to accept your offer. This can seem like a daunting step, but don’t worry—we’re here to help!

It’s recommended that you accept your offer on a computer with a secure internet connection. After you’ve accepted the offer, we’ll send an email confirming your admission to BU Rise. If your status is pending approval from another school or program (like APTA), we’ll email you when the approval has been received.

Once accepted into BU Rise, it’s time for orientation! Learn more about how to get started at http://rise.bu.edu/start/.

You’ve been waitlisted or rejected.

If you’re waitlisted, you’re on a waiting list. In other words, we haven’t accepted your application yet but will consider your application again in future rounds if space opens up. If this happens to you, don’t give up! Keep checking back with us and reapply when the next round opens up.

If you are rejected from BU Rise, it doesn’t mean that we didn’t like what was in front of us—it simply means that after reviewing all of our applications and selecting those who most closely matched our program requirements, we didn’t feel as though we could accept every candidate into the cohort at this time. Don’t worry: You can still apply again for future cycles (just make sure to wait until further notice about when those cycles will be).

Second-round applications are open.

It’s worth noting that the second-round process is the same for all programs, so whether you’re applying for an undergrad or graduate program, follow these steps closely!

Checking the status of your application

If you are accepted: Congratulations! The next steps will be determining what campus housing option works best for you, filling out housing forms and paying deposits, and registering for orientation. If you are waitlisted: We’re sorry! While we wish that everyone could be accepted into BU Rise, unfortunately not everyone who applies is able to join us. You may reapply in our next round. If rejected: While it might seem like a bummer at first, try not to feel too down about it—there are plenty of other universities out there waiting for their chance to accept YOU! And if all else fails… well then maybe this isn’t where your future lies after all (but hey—at least now we’re friends!).

Applying again in Round Two?

We know how hard it is when someone tells us “no” because they don’t think they have enough experience or skills yet; but don’t give up hope just yet! There’s still time before Round Two starts on March 15th – so why not get started early? Some tips include working on building up those internships/volunteering hours as well as strengthening any weak areas around critical thinking skills such as writing etc… And remember: if things aren’t going well right now DO NOT panic!! Just keep pushing yourself forward until something comes along 🙂
