It was founded in 1767, but not as its own institution; it was originally part of King’s College (now known as Columbia). But remember: no matter where you end up, if you do well there, and work hard throughout your career, then doors will open for you. NYU may be ranked #2 among medical programs in New York State, but only because Stanford is #1 (and mainly because Jeff Bezos went to Stanford). If both schools were in New York City then NYU would surely be on top—unless Jeff Bezos had just married into the royal family and Bill Gates lived next door.
Tuition of Medicine in New York
If you are not a US citizen, and you want to start studying medicine in New York, you must be ready to pay as much as $50 000 per year. This rate is valid for all foreign students, who want to study medical subjects. They will have to pay the full annual fee of $49 995. But even if you are from the United States, but from another state than New York, then the cost of studying will also be pretty high. You may expect a payment of around $30 000 per annum.
Also if you already have a bachelor’s degree, then you can consider studying at one of the medical schools in New York.
