How To Study In Poland

Tuition fees in Polish universities

Polish students and foreigners who begin studies in Poland on terms applicable to Polish citizens are entitled to tuition free full-time studies in the Polish language at state Higher Education Institutions. These include EU/EEA residents and students who have signed the Polish Charter (Karta Polaka). International students fees are as follows:

All other foreigners are required to pay tuition fees that on average are the following:

EUR 2000 per year for first, second and long cycle studies,
EUR 3000 per year for doctoral, postgraduate and medical postgraduate internships as well as scientific, arts, specialist and post-doctoral internships,
EUR 3000 per year for vocational courses and apprenticeships,
EUR 2000 per year for an annual preparatory Polish language course to commence studies in Polish.

Fees at public and private HEIs are determined by the institution. Tuition fees vary depending on the organization and study program, and range from EUR 2000 to EUR 6000 per year. MBA services cost between EUR 8000 and 12,000 per year.

Scholarships

The government, numerous foundations, and the universities themselves all give scholarships to students in Poland. They are open to students of Polish descent, including disabled candidates, as well as foreign students from both within and outside the European Union. How to apply for admission

An applicant should contact the admission office of the selected University directly via e-mail (phone/fax) or via one of its international recruitment offices in order to apply for a selected study program beginning in October for the fall semester and February for the spring semester. If an applicant needs a visa to stay and study on European Union territory, he or she can apply for the program early enough so that a decision on visa issuance can be made before the fall/spring semester begins.

Admission requirements for undergraduate studies:

Notarized secondary school certificate or an official duplicate issued by the candidate’s high school,
filled out application form,
4 passport-size photographs,
copy of candidate’s ID (passport),
certificate of the English language proficiency optionally (unless the high school courses were taught in English);
medical certificate with no contraindication for studying,
admission fee payment receipt.

Admission requirements for masters programs:

Undergraduate program diploma or an official duplicate issued by the university,
candidate’s CV with the details about the school and professional career optionally,
one academic reference and one personal reference optionally,
filled out application form,
4 passport-size photographs,
copy of the candidate’s ID (passport),
proof of English language proficiency (unless the first degree was taught in English),
medical certificate with no contraindication for studying,
admission fee payment receipt.
